Matchday 2 review in Zzap! 64

The magazine ZZAP! 64 did a review of one of my favorite games of all time, namely Matchday 2, and it is reproduced right here. Feel free to click on the pictures in order to get readable versions (they will open in blank windows).

Kinda puzzled by the 2nd review on the first page, saying that it's on par with Commodore's own International Soccer, another (early) football game on the C64, and that it's too much like the real football game, and not enough like an arcade game. Way off, my friend, way off. It's the best football game on the Commodore 64, period.

Some people may be turned off by the amount of menus you have to go through before actually playing an actual game of football, and this is quite comprehensible as it is a bit tedious, but please look past that and give it a chance.

Slowness of the game? Well, I think that's what makes the game so good.
